We’re excited to announce our new homeschool coop.
We are accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year.
The primary requirement for acceptance at Parallel Hope Schools is an agreement by parents and staff that the child would thrive and be more likely to reach his or her potential in our program than in a traditional classroom.
For the school year 2023-2024 we’ll be accepting children grades 1-6 at our initial location. We intend to expand to K-12 admissions and additional locations in future years.
All Parallel Hope Schools admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, tuition assistance or loan programs, athletic, or other school-administered programs.
In order to enroll in any Parallel Hope school, your child must be at least 5 years old before September 1 of the current school. If your child is, or will be, five or older, please complete the online application, or print a copy, to begin the admission process.
As part of the admission process, every family will attend a meeting with the school’s administration. On scheduled instruction days, a classroom visit may be arranged. On non-instruction days, administration will endeavor to have the child’s potential teacher present.
Our unique approach to grade placement at Parallel Hope Schools requires placement testing as part of the admission process. This helps us understand a child’s current academic knowledge and we may adjust their placement to meet their needs.
Our school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship, and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
Our program aims to develop a lifelong love of learning in children who don’t do well in traditional classrooms for any reason.
There are numerous reasons children don’t do well in public school classes. Our challenge here at Parallel Hope Schools, Inc. is to provide an appropriate and accommodating environment for those children in which they can bloom.
Our experienced teachers, individualized learning plans, emphasis on mastering the learning process, and flexible seating arrangements are all tailored to help them thrive and build their self-confidence and self-esteem.
No child at our school feels he or she is a failure or is unable to reach his or her potential. We adjust to his or her unique physical, educational and spiritual development needs rather than asking him or her to adjust to our structure or curriculum.
Our emphasis is on how to learn, not just what to learn. Please call the Administrator, Annette Laguerre, at (240) 514-4475 to get more information and discuss whether our program would be a good fit for your child.
Give your child the gift of a brighter future by taking the first step and applying today!
